I was reading the September issue of Harper's Bazaar and admired this lovely platform pump by Azzedine Alaia.

After that, I went along my merry way. That is, until I came to the back section of the magazine and saw this:

For a moment, I thought they had shot the same shoe twice. So I flipped back to where I saw the Alaia and did a double take. It was then that I realized that this second shoe was Valentino. I continued to compare them and was shocked at the similarity. If
I noticed it, clearly the editors at Bazaar did. So I am a little confused as to why? Maybe they just loved them both so much that they couldn't choose so they chose both! Or maybe in person they look more different.
It's a classic case of mistaken identity.
