Anna Sui Fall 2010 RTW

Anna Sui's line, regardless of the fact that is for fall, gives me hopes for warmer weather. On yet another snowy day in New York City (imagine that) the florals in this collection make me optimistic for these blizzard conditions to end. These pieces are whimsical and artistic. I love them to death

Disclaimer:
Anyone who knows me knows that I do not condone the use of fur for, well, anything. I believe in animal rights. If I include fur in a post, keep in mind that I just like the idea of the piece.

Oscar de la Renta Fall 2010 RTW

Oscar is by far the king of making gowns. Not only are his gowns perfection, but his style aesthetic is as well. I also really love the jewel tones in this collection.

Disclaimer: Everyone who knows me knows that I do not condone the use of fur. I think the look of fur is beautiful but would never ever buy it and I believe in the use of faux fur.

I love the different silhouettes in Phillip Lim's collection. It is all very tailored, however still has a relaxed edge. It's cool yet sophisticated. It's perfection.

Vera Wang Fall 2010 RTW

Vera Wang's new line is so elegant. It's very Upper East Side. For some reason, I kept picturing Olivia Palermo wearing most of these outfits. I love the chunky necklaces, long gloves, and all of the sophisticated layers. It's stunning.

The colors in Peter Som's collection are a breath of fresh air considering we are in the middle of winter. The silhouettes are fun and even though this is a fall collection, it makes me look forward to spring!

Helmut Lang 2010 Fall RTW

On yet another snowy day here in NYC, Helmut Lang's Fall 2010 runway brings me warmth just looking at it. Granted the color pallet is, well, nonexistent, I am in love with this line. It looks uber comfortable and I love the rocker chic look.

Erin Fetherston is the goddess of femininity, in my book. Her collections are whimsical and flirtatious. This collection is to die for and is sheer perfection.

Herve Leger by Max Azria Fall 2010 RTW

This collection is flawless. The dresses are so chic it's crazy. It seems as though the bandage dress is still in style and I'm glad. Granted, not everyone can wear them (myself included), but they are so sophisticated and sexy. Love it.

This woman can do no wrong. Diane von Furstenberg's fall 2010 collection is impeccable. Every piece would be ideal for any woman's wardrobe. It's flirty and sophisticated and I die over it.

Cynthia Steffe Fall 2010 RTW

Cynthia Steffe's Fall 2010 RTW line is adorable. It definitely takes on a NYC prep school a la Gossip Girl feel. This collection makes me want winter to stay...if only the line was available now.

Chado Raph Rucci Fall 2010 RTW

In honor of Kell on Earth, I decided to have Chado Ralph Rucci as the first review of NY Fashion Week. I think this collection, overall, is gorgeous. It's very sophisticated, with flattering and unique silhouettes. It's too bad though that Chado, himself, is a jerk. I mean, who fires Kelly Cutrone?

Disclaimer: Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a fur person, however I thought the jacket was beautiful. I only wish it was faux....

The Death of Fashion Genius

I don't know what planet I have been on all day, but I just found out the Alexander McQueen died today by apparent suicide at the age of 40.

He was found this morning in his London flat and was pronounced dead at the scene.

I am completely shocked and utterly upset. This is a horrible way to start fashion week. His lower end line, McQ, was suppose to have it's show today. However, it was canceled for obvious reasons.

RIP Alexander McQueen....you were a fashion God.
