Rock My Eyes Baby
I'm so excited...and it's kinda lame.
I just ordered from Neiman Marcus.com the Rock and Republic Gel Bond Eyeliner in Smut.
I really wanted to try it out because I am always struggling to find a good eyeliner that is not only easy to apply but will last through out the day without making me look like a raccoon.
The only thing that is bad is now I have to find the perfect angle brush to apply it with...and maybe a few lessons or tips in order not to mess up.
Hopefully it won't be a waste of $30, like my YSL eyeliner I bought a few months ago.
Bite my tongue.

All Good Things Must Come to an End
If Lindsay doesn't look happy on the cover of the October issue of Marie Claire...it's because this internship is coming to an end for me this Friday.
Ok..maybe not...but whatever.
Anyways. Yes. My fun yet fast pace internship at MC is unfortunately almost over. These past few months completely flew by. I could've swore it was just yesterday that it was September and we were invoicing items for the gift guide section and Nina Garcia was still a new face in the office.
But I've grown accustomed to her face and her presence in the fashion closet (although I still stare in awe and admiration). I am use to the pressure, the quick decision making, and the crowded space. I'm going to miss returning samples, Dynamex, photocopying look books (believe it or not lol). All the tedious work that I've done over the past 3 months or so, will be missed.
I am also going to hate not seeing the other girls! I've made some amazing friends at this internship. Who would have thought that these people who I've known for such a short period of time would've helped me tremendously through one of the hardest times I have had so far in my life (and no...I'm not just talking about internship duties). All I have to say is...thank God for Facebook!
I am so grateful and feel so blessed for having had this opportunity. I feel like it was one of the best experiences so far in my life. I feel like this will open a lot of doors and I have truly learned so much.
So when Friday comes, I will work my ass off like always. Gotta go out with a bang...or something. haha. Much love Marie Claire, much love. <3

To Fold or Not To Fold
This is gonna be short and sweet:
All the talk about all these fashion magazines folding could quite frankly be giving me the start of a nervous breakdown.
Come on Wall St.! The entire fashion industry including every girl in the U.S. who obsess over these glossies are counting on you!
Trying to stay sane with all these rumors...
XOXO

CosmoGirl Folds
So last week, one of my fellow interns told me that her sister-in-law told her that CosmoGirl was folding. This was strange for many reasons: 1) The teen magazine is just a few floors above us and 2) I hadn't heard anything on the fashion/gossip blogs!
But, unfortunately, it is the sad truth. The first thing I did was googled "CosmoGirl folded" and sure enough there were results. Then, I mentioned it to my internship advisor because I knew a fellow Wagner student actually has/had an internship at CosmoGirl. She told me that indeed the magazine was over.
So today I talked to this student, Laura. She told me how devastated she was, especially when she got the news from her editor who was in fact crying. I told her I didn't blame her because God knows that I would burst into tears if something happened to MC. Luckily, we have Nina G, and I think that will keep us around for a little while...God willing.
Laura also told me how her internship was not ruined because of the folding. She did initially have stories planned to run in the February issue, but since the magazine is ending with their December issue, it is a no go. However, the editors knew that the interns need this for college credit, so they agreed to keep the interns for the magazine's website. She gets to work on topics such as "Hotties of 2008", etc. She also commented on how the interns are going to get video cameras and record themselves around the office to put on the website "to show what it's like when a magazine folds".
It's scary that the print magazine is a dying industry. I pray that somehow the glossies will resurrect themselves, because reading fashion spreads on the computer is NOT the same as holding those shiny pages in your hand.

Clothes can't say "I love you"..but..
Clothes can't say "I love you"...but...
They can hug you..in all the right places.
If you choose the right ones..they always flatter you and
compliment you.
They are always exciting
and if you do get bored with them, they don't mind if you switch them around.
They boost your confidence.
They keep you warm.
No matter how long you've had them, they'll always stay around until YOU decide to throw them away..and they don't hold it against you.
No matter how long you've had them, they'll always stay around until YOU decide to throw them away..and they don't hold it against you.
If you love them, they'll last forever.
They keep you safe.
They make you feel sexy.
They don't use YOU, YOU use them...and they prefer it that way.
They don't talk back!
They don't mind if you alter them..just a little...
So...clothes can't say "I love you"..but..
that also means they can't say "goodbye".
